Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum celebrated theupcoming induction of Country MusicHall of Fame Member-Elect Ray Stevens with a special luncheon honoring him in the museum’s Theater.
During the luncheon, Stevens shared this sentiment about his upcoming induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, “I tell you friends, it don’t get no better than this.”
In October of this year, Stevens, along with Jerry Bradley and Brooks & Dunn, will be formally inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
About time! Congrats!
I have always been a big country music fan! I realy love the legends, but most of them are gone. I always wanted to meet DON WILLIAMS.i know one day i will see him in heaven!! I love you all!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
RAY STEVENS is my number 1 comedian!! I love to listen to the radio and sing with the singer. I was told i sound like DOLLY PARTON. I love to sing! Maybe someday i will be able to see ya! Love ya!
I love your music and wish I could buy more but I’m disabled and don’t have enough money but I met Ray on Ralph Emery back in the early seventeys
I met Ray back in the early seventeys on Ralph Emery awesome person I was scared to go on but he incoureged me
I’m so anxious!! I write a fan-created blog centered on the music/career of Ray Stevens and I’m anxiously awaiting the moment when I can go from writing ‘member-elect’ to ‘member’ in my blog posts. Along with eagerly awaiting the moment to officially refer to him as a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame I can’t wait to see the plaque! I’m curious if they’re going to replicate one of Ray’s serious photographs or if they’ll use his famed ‘Comedy Video Classics’ image for the plaque. The photo of Ray that appears on the 1991 Curb Records release, “Greatest Hits”, is probably the image that will be used for the Hall of Fame plaque…but one won’t know until it’s unveiled.
