my wife and i watch ray every week but are somewhat disappointed because he never sings “five more steps ” . i know that dates us but in oure opinion it’s one of the top five songs he’s ever made. if you have any influence with him, please ask him to sing it . it is a great 50’s song and i’m sure will touch many people, at least alot of people in ocean springs, ms. please ask him to sing it .
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy your shows. Saturday nights we catch the shows on two PBS stations and a station called RFD. Perhaps we know your youngest fan. She is age 3 and our grand niece. We started entertaining her on her visits by doing your opening monologue and even made a microphone with a toilet paper roll holder. We recorded the episode with Felix Cavaliere. Each time our niece visits she says “Let’s do Ray Stevens”. She then puts on old jewelry, gets an old purse containing a ticket to your show, gets on her little stool, crosses her legs, hands on lap like a prim/proper young lady while moving her shoulders to the music. Such a joy to watch. Just had to share this with you. Joe and Brenda Vandever
